Meat Lab Now Open!

The Meat Lab is open for the 2009-2010 academic year. And, there's a meat sale going on right now. Contact the meat lab at 837-8208 to purchase these meat cuts, some at reduced prices. All meat is vacuum-packed, labeled, and frozen.

Fall 09--Meat Lab Reopens

Once the meat lab opens for classes in the fall, students will be harvesting, processing, and selling beef, lamb, and pork. The meat retail counter is open to the public and sells meat at reasonable prices. This is a training center for students to learn the entire meat science process.

The smoked meats like ham, sausage, and bacon are delicious, too. The ground beef is extra lean and is bright red; it tastes wonderful!

So start counting the days to when the lab opens again for classes and sales.

Meat Lab Reopens August 2009

Because of staffing shortages this summer, we are not harvesting and processing animals this summer. We will be up and going as soon as the Fall semester begins in August.
